Generative graphics system based on simple circular intersections. I have been exploring this rendering style / technique on and off over the last couple of years, starting with typographic explorations in Processing through to basing the 'Early Summer 2008' COS projection on this. Lately I have ported the rendering engine to C++ using OpenFrameworks. Abstract rendering with colours based on the amount of circular overlap:
